There's a few pictures from my birthday meal at The Railway Hotel in Southend-on-sea. It's a 100% vegetarian pub with 50% vegan options. As James and I are vegans, I had decided that I wanted to go here for my birthday months in advance of my actual birthday.
My Mum and her Fiance joint us for the meal. They both had veggie burgers and James and I had calzones. It was the best meal I've ever had at a restaurant/pub/cafe. It was just great quality and really reasonably priced. Serious bargain.
I can guarantee this will be my new haunt. James and I have decided to give up chain food restaurants and to support local businesses in our area.
I'm so excited to go back next week!
Great to see you back blogging, looks like a fab place! We decided the same and have found some amazing places right on our doorstep - often they are better value for money too. Hope you had a lovely birthday, the site of that calzone has got me thinking about lunch!
